Oxford Bank & Trust, Your Most Convenient Bank, is looking for a Loan Operations Manager for our Loan Operations Department located at our Corporate Office in Oak Brook. This exciting opportunity focuses on Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Construction and Industrial Loans. - Leads and manages the documentation, funding, processing, accounting, and servicing of commercial and consumer loans
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all loan transactions and processing of all loan documentation and collateral
- Oversees the preparation of loan documentation, file preparation, file maintenance, funding, and closing of loans
- Maintains knowledge of Oxford products and services and current trends and developments in the industry
- Demonstrates functional and technical expertise required to perform core aspects of the job including regulations
- Interacts with Senior and Executive Management where appropriate on all departmental issues
- Supports loan officers by interacting on a daily basis with customers, attorneys, banks, insurance agents etc. to coordinate details of closings
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful delivery of related services including the evaluation and implementation of process improvements
- Demonstrates ability to work as part of a team with a commitment to proactively take initiative to achieve goals and a desire to support teammates
- Takes personal responsibility and ownership to learn and continually improve in all aspects of this position
- Leads by example and creates a positive work environment
- Maintains a highly motivated, well trained staff and provides leadership and direction in order to meet goals and objectives
- Holds regular meetings to keep staff informed of expectations and changes in processes and procedures
- Assists staff with complex aspects of loan operations as necessary
- Responsible for developing, managing and coaching team members including decisions relative to performance reviews, hires, terminations and salary actions
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and Bank lending policies and procedures
- Remediates all audit and examination exceptions in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (MBA or advanced degree is a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of loan collateral (i.e. titles, mortgage, & assignments)
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation for Commercial and Consumer loans. (i.e. construction, lines of credit, installment, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of management in a banking environment overseeing loan administration/loan operation
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory compliance (HMDA, CRA, Flood Determinations, and Patriot Act)
- Experience with Metavante Software and Laser Pro is a PLUS
- Great interpersonal skills, as well as a team spirited, positive attitude
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work well independently

The successful candidate will have recent supervisory experience in a retail banking environment, as well as passion for leading, inspiring and training others to deliver a great experience to every customer. - Take personal responsibility to learn & continually improve as a Teller Supervisor
- Lead, coach, and evaluate Tellers in the development of individual & team success
- Manage training and development of Teller staff in regard to bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity as well as all banking regulations
- Ensure accurate transaction operations and consistent branch balancing
- Research all branch and customer differences
- Responsible for auditing and managing cash drawers, vault(s), ATM(s), coin vault(s) , cash machine(s), postage stamps, petty cash and negotiable items
- Schedule Teller staff according to branch needs through the ADP EZlabor system
- Act as a liaison with IT to ensure functionality of operating systems
- Effectively communicate with and assist the Branch Manager when appropriate
- Complete and conduct employee performance evaluations and administer disciplinary action when appropriate
- Professionally assist customers by accurately processing transactions
- Actively participate in Oxford customer events, bank committees, and festivities
- Resolve customer concerns with tact and diplomacy to ensure customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Oxford’s products and services
- Constantly exercise confidentiality with customer information
- A minimum of 5 years previous Teller experience
- Excellent supervisory and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop employees
- Ability to interpret, follow and communicate technical and procedural instructions furnished in various forms
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as an upbeat, positive attitude
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including more than 2 yrs. of experience creating spreadsheets in Excel
- Excellent math skills and consistently high attention to detail
- Self motivated and goal oriented
- Valuable customer service experience
- Willing and able to travel to other locations and branches as necessary
- Experience with Metavante, Teller Insight & Banker Insight is a PLUS
- Personal Banking knowledge is also a PLUS
Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule; this position may be required to open the branch at 6:45 am on some days, and close at 7:15 pm on others. Candidates must also be available to work some Saturdays from 6:45 am - 3:15 pm and Sundays from 9:45 am – 2:15 pm.
Rate of pay will be based upon experience.
